I wanted to share with you something that is sure to be a hit in your classroom. These are some really fun magnetic building blocks my kids love to build with! This is a great idea for an early finisher center in the art classroom. As an art teacher, I’m sure you have encountered the situation (pretty much every day) that kids finish at all different times during the class period. Some of them work really quickly and others take days to finish the same project. I have all kinds of different ideas for my early finishers, which you can read about this recent blog post.
This year, I stumbled upon these awesome building blocks that my students have really enjoyed building with. My collection now has a combination of several different sets. Some I bought on Amazon and then others I picked up from a local person selling them very cheaply on Facebook.
The blocks are about 1 inch cubed. They feature different printed images and textures. Some of the sets look like they are inspired by various video games, which the kids love!
Check out this basic set here. (Amazon Affiliate link used at no extra cost to you – the small amount of money earned goes towards maintaining this blog). This particular brand has boxes to check on the Amazon page to receive a coupon discount- make sure to check that to bring down the price. There is also this cherry blossom set which is cute. As I said earlier, I have several sets that are all mixed together. So, if you want to see the different varieties, you can check out many of the different magnetic sets here. You can also search for magnetic blocks on Amazon and there are many compatible sets, just make sure the measurements are the same size.
Hope you find my product recommendations helpful. I only recommend things that I use and enjoy!
