Gratitude Turkey- Distance Learning

Here is a fun social emotional project that works for distance learning too.

Illustrated Gratitude Turkey with feathers labeled: school, books, friends, family, art, home, nature, chocolate, music, my dog.

I started with a how to draw a turkey sheet I found online. I wanted to link it here, but when I went to look for it again, it had disappeared! I’ve searched and searched and can’t find the original tutorial. Anyways, you can do the same thing by finding a “how to draw a turkey” step by step online and then doing the next steps you see here.

First, draw your turkey with pencil.

Next, outline your turkey with Sharpie marker.

Write on each feather one thing that you are grateful for.

Finally, color in with your choice of crayons, colored pencils or watercolor paints. Have fun!

I know this isn’t a brand new idea, there are certainly lots of gratitude turkeys out there! I always just want to share what I am doing in the hopes that it gives you an idea or makes your life a little easier planning for your art lessons!
