Alphabet Monsters

My 1st graders had read a variety of ABC books about art and we made letters that were illustrated with objects that started with that letter. To finish up our unit on alphabet related art, we made these cute ABC monsters. I bought the cardboard letters from Discount School Supply. These were colored with Kwik Stix (Amazon affiliate link) and then eyes, hair and mouths were added with construction paper.

This is a great book about monsters to go along with this project.
A colorful letter "K" craft with big eyes, a pink mouth, and pom-poms at the ends on a white background – it looks like a fun alphabet monster!
Colorful monster-like letters with eyes and mouth drawn on both.
Decorated letters C and L, painted and adorned with colorful feathers, stars, and paper shapes on a white background. These elements bring the alphabet to life with a playful touch.
Colorful alphabet crafts shaped like the letters R and V with googly eyes, feathers, and drawn facial features resembling friendly monsters on a white background.
Colorful, hand-painted cardboard letters "U" and "T" with quirky faces, pom-poms attached..
Colorful, hand-decorated alphabet cutouts of the letters "A" and "M," featuring playful monster designs on a white background.
Two colorful, decorated letter cutouts: "F" with feathers and a face, and "E" with rainbow stripes and googly eyes that look like playful monsters from the alphabet.
