Three abstract art trading cards with "Doodled Artist Trading Cards" text overlay on the left side.

Today I am going to show you an easy doodling technique for Artist Trading Cards.  This is a great one-day art project for kids and possibly for a substitute lesson plan.

Two blank Artist Trading Cards, three colored Sharpies, and two pink pens arranged on a light blue surface.

Create doodles on the Artist Trading Cards and fill in with paint pens, Sharpies, or gel pens.  My third graders had a blast making these easy cards.

Doodling step-by-step with a black Sharpie, coloring with markers and gel pens on Artist Trading Cards.

Abstract artwork featuring bold blue and pink shapes, swirls, hearts, and floral patterns outlined in black, giving a doodled effect.

Pretty easy, right?  Have fun!

Two abstract paintings: one with colorful puzzle-like shapes, and another with swirling lines and dots on a blue background. Two abstract paintings with swirling shapes and colors, one predominantly blue and the other multicolored, evoke the charm of doodled Artist Trading Cards. Four artistic doodles with abstract patterns and designs. Text reads "Doodled Artist Trading Cards"
