Well, another school year has begun!
We’ve had one week of classes and I have been pleased with my student’s behavior, effort and creativity thus far.
What I was not pleased with was catching strep throat the first week of school! I had to stay home the second day. 🙁 My daughter got sick the week before, so I that is where I got my illness from. I am mostly back to normal now, so let’s hope the rest of the year is free and clear.
This “Welcome to Our School” banner greeted our students as they started the year. I saw an idea similar to this one on the Jamestown Elementary Art Blog. Thanks for the inspiration!
This bulletin board was something my first grade students made at the end of last year. Each student drew a colorful fish with crayons and colored pencils. These were cut out and placed on a background mural that we were making at the same time. They stamped white and blue paint with bubble wrap and circular lids. They also used paint dotters to make the circles. Then, I cut out the letters and seaweed and glued everything together.
