More Sketchbook Covers for Elementary School Art Journals

All of my classes have been busy making sketchbook covers.  Here are a few more assignments by grade level:

1st Grade Initials:
I saw this idea at Art Projects for Kids.

A colorful abstract collage with various shapes and textures, featuring the name "Norah" written at the top, ideal for sketchbook covers.
A collage forming the letter "E" with various colorful magazine clippings on a white background, ideal for elementary school art projects.
A colorful abstract drawing with various patterns and the name "Ethan" written in crayon, ideal for sketchbook covers or art journals.
The background has crayon texture rubbings and watercolor paint.

A letter "M" collage artwork made from various colorful patterns and textures on a white background.
Colorful collage letter "M" with various patterns and textures on a pink background, ideal for sketchbook covers.

3rd Grade:  The students wrote their names in cursive and then surrounded the name with repeating colorful lines.
Colorful drawing featuring the name "Emily" and the word "Creative" surrounded by wavy lines and dots, ideal for elementary school sketchbook covers.
Colorful abstract drawing with the word "Jilly" in the center, surrounded by swirling lines and patterns in various colors—ideal for Sketchbook Covers or Art Journals for an Elementary School setting.

4th/5th Grade Names:  They drew their names and then covered the negative space with patterns.  Similar to this idea… Name Tangles.

Colorful drawing with birds, clouds, and candies surrounding the name "Jenny" in large, decorated letters. Ideal for sketchbook covers or elementary school art journals.
This student chose to branch off on the project and create a lovely background with birds.
