Fabric Collages

A colorful quilt block featuring abstract patterns and various fabric textures, enhanced by a black ribbon bow at the bottom, showcases the beauty of fabric collages.

I never posted about these fabric collages that we finished at the end of the year last year.   The third and fourth graders made these.

We worked together to paint fabrics!
Hands paint a large canvas with bright yellow, red, and orange colors using brushes and small paint containers, creating fabric collages.

We painted with acrylic paints on muslin fabric. We sprayed the fabric with water to allow the paint to spread more easily.

Colorful abstract graffiti art with various scribbles and shapes in green, pink, orange, and blue hues blending seamlessly with elements of fabric collages.

We had lots of painted fabrics at the end.

We even painted over ugly patterned fabrics.

Then, we chose our pieces and cut them up!

We cut pieces, glued them and added stitching!

Lots of colors and designs.

We learned and practiced our stitching skills.

This project was challenging and we explored many new skills.
