Map of My Heart– Kindergarten

Drawing titled "Map of My Heart" features a child's depiction of a heart with labeled images: person, house, fish, and the words "School," "Anikka," and "Birthdays.

The kindergartners made Maps of their Hearts!  They included things that were important in their lives.  We drew with permanent markers first, then watercolor painted them in..

I got this idea from the book “Playful Learning” which would be a great book for a classroom teacher.  It was interesting to read, but most of the activities are math, science, reading related.

A Kindergarten child’s colorful drawing features a large heart, scribbles, and various animals and people with labels, almost like a playful map of their imagination.

A child's drawing of a red heart labeled "Kindergarten" with illustrations of home, school, friends, a tree, and scattered colorful doodles.

A colorful child's painting depicting a heart with various scenes, including a house, bees, and the words "bees," "honey," and "me." It's a delightful Map of My Heart, reminiscent of kindergarten creativity.
