Stats

Does anyone else look at their stats and become confused by them?  One of my pages, the Clay Viking Ship lesson was viewed about 800 more times than any of the other lesson plan pages.  I didn’t realize clay viking ships were so popular!  🙂   Of course, the blog directory was a big hit, receiving the most page views.

    In my blog about my family, many people have arrived there, searching for “granny feet.” I blogged photos of my newborn's feet, saying “for Granny.” Can't imagine why people were searching for Granny feet.

  2. My most viewed post every week was “bigger is better” referring to my new projector. I couldn't figure it out until I showed my friend and she laughed about the title. . . hmmm what are people searching. . . that's why I changed the title to “projecting a better lesson.” Still it gets the most hits, go figure.

    That is pretty silly. Both of those! For your projector post, did you look at the keywords that people were searching?

    I'm not sure how to look at my stats. Actually, that's not true. The truth is that I have NO IDEA how to do this. Where do you find it?

    Phyl, at the top of the page, click on design. Then click on the stats tab. You can see which posts got the most hits that week and the websites that referred people to your blog. At the top, you can change it to different time periods such as month or “all time” to see which posts got the most hits all together.

    You don't add keywords. If you click on traffic sources, and scroll down, you can see which keywords people used when googling which led them to your blog. For example, someone googled “architecture for 2nd graders” and that led them to my blog.
