Here are some Valentine’s Day prints I made out of a styrofoam printing plate. You can use those styrofoam meat plates or, like I did, order the styrofoam printing plates from an art catalog (like Nasco). These are great for little kids to print with. One ornament made by a student The week before winter break not much gets done in the classroom. It’s hard to start something new when we will be off school for 2 weeks. So, as kids finished up projects I took out a bunch of random art supplies, cookie cutters, glitter, felt, and pipe cleaners for them to make stuff out of. Here’s an ornament example one kid made.

The Governor’s Mansion in Madison sent us a call for ornaments made by 4th graders based on a book. These ornaments will be hung on a large Christmas tree in the mansion. Only one per classroom could be submitted. As a group, several of the students made this dream catcher.
